OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

What's BC's name these days?  When I won the ticket lottery I couldn't get it out of my head that maybe my luck would continue and he'd go to the game with me.

QuoteThis is an outstanding idea. It will bring some more information (including pitch counts and pitch speeds) into Wrigley without overwhelming the park, and without doing anything to the existing scoreboard. I know some people are vehemently against such boards. Crane Kenney, Cubs President of Business Operations, took a poll in the business management session after this was revealed, asking if people wanted a board showing replays. It was about 60/40 in favor.

I agree with Al.  Let's replace left field too.

Al doesn't care because he can't see those changes from 'his' seats.

I also love that he doesn't know that they already show pitch speed and count at Wrigley.

It's hard to tell from the mock up drawing that Todd Rickets did, but this seems like it will actually decrease the number of seats available.

On the plus side, everyone getting blackout drunk and 8 degree weather makes fatalities a real possibility.

So did anyone start reading the Pale King? Thoughts so far?

It's next on my list.  Have you started it?  I pray it's not like the The Salmon of Doubt.  Because I will stab someone if that's the case.  I'm not sure who I will stab.  I assume Powen will stop by in 2013 and give me some ideas.

While I'm using up my post for 2011, what the fuck is up with the whole A Game of Thrones love thing?  I'm not that far in, but how the hell is it considered anything beyond generic fantasy opera?  Does it get better?  Am I wasting my time?  Should I drink a ton of white russians without eating dinner?  Has my grill been "warming up" for 45 minutes and I just remembered now?  Seriously, I need answers people before my place burns down.

So far, this Game of Thrones thing reminds me of The Girl Who Blah Blah Blahs...  Something that some perv gave a thumbs up because it has underage and/or rape sex and a bunch of people that don't read actual big people books hyped it up because they didn't know any better.

I had two major issues with the fourth quarter, namely Martz's decision to get cutesy with a 28-3 lead and first down near midfield with that idiotic pass/INT from Forte out of the wildcat. Someone tell Martz to please not fucking do that again.

Well, it obviously didn't work for shit, but I don't think it's a 100% awful idea do do a few wacky
things to set up future plays.

Unrelated, but anyone bitching about the yards given up late in the game need to give it up and
get a new shtick.  That's what the Bears do.  It's their philosophy.

I do so love it when the Bears all of a sudden switch it up and start playing aggressive pass coverage
and knock the qb/receiver timing to hell.

Also the Triumvirate started as Pre, me, and then pretty much everybody else.

The Triumvirate is me, flannj, and Wheezer.  There was also:
Morph -  Professor of Stacking Cheddar (Personal Finance Division)
Oleg - Professor of Stacking Cheddar (Hoggie Division)

Did Yeti ultimately win the affections of the brunettes?
No, and I'll explain why (besides the obvious reason that I am a fat ugly fuck). So, a good chunk of you know I have a long lost brother I recently found out about. So, he lives up in Lindenhurst. Another important preface is that up until Monday I was dating this girl from Edwardsville but she was from Lindenhurst as well. We are fine now, I guess friends if anything. So, TDubbs is talking to the hot burnette (nice tits) and I come in later and talk to the heavier, "could be cute if she lost 20 pounds" burnette (Linaya). She was nice enough and I realistically knew that if I had a chance with either of them, it would be her. So, I find out they're from Lindenhurst. I mention my brother. She knew the name because she was decent friends with his younger sister (not a blood relative of mine so I'm comfortable saying she is pretty hot). Then, (and even though it wasn't initially a problem, I think it ended up being the killer) I mentioned was "friends" with the girl I dated, Elayna. Well, Linaya said she was really good friends with Elayna. They actually roomed together in Edwardsville for a semester until L (abbreviating because I can) moved back north to go to school. Well, we both texted E and it was confirmed. E told me to "be nice to her" to which I replied "why wouldn't i?". I received a "idk. Are you going to sleep with her". I said that I didn't know and she (E) would know that answer better than I would. Well, I'm not sure what E and L were texting back and forth but I have a feeling it was some cockblocking bullshit. Later, as we were leaving Kerm was doing his best to get them to come back to TDubbs which I think might have helped my chances but they ultimately decided against it. L mentioned they would go out tonight and I got her number and texted her this morning but I have yet to hear anything back. So, probably a complete failure but I don't think it was as bad of a failure as my last failure in Chicago for TDubbs' birthghey. So, there's your story of that. Its a small fucking world. I know thatshe found out that I'm terrible in bed

Cliff Notes'd (is that how y'all are still doing it?)

Holy shit, that guy has problems. I feel horrible for all of those victims. I'm sure their families will be picked at by vultures of every kind - media, pols, local Pauls, everybody. To me this is all about mental illness. Hopefully, once we find out what this dude's health issues are, we can learn to recognize and help people suffering similarly so that others don't get hurt.

Fuck.

I agree 100%. Especially with the bolded.

Thirded.

Count me in.

Is there still room left on the Crazymobile for me?

Not sure, looks like there's already a whole hell of a lot of crazy on board.

Going to need to upgrade to a van.

I am very skeptical that the AL East->NL Central
move will be a bigger impact than the Rays Defense->Cubs Defense, and
Tropicana->Wrigley for a severe fly ball pitcher.

The last severe fly ball pitcher who came from the AL East to the Cubs did all right.

I hope he's as successful as Ted, but the Skydome is a lot different than Tropicana.

Granted, the 2010 numbers are probably a bit skewed in my favor, but regardless it's
a good pitcher's park.

Excellent, I'll buy your first club soda and you can buy my first whiskey.

Are you switching it up from your normal Shirley Temple to impress SKO or to be
more like Fork?
