OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

It is indeed John Murray, the man who attacked Randy Myers.

What a douche.  He was annoyed that Slezak asked him if he was the same guy.  Claims McDonough knows it's him.

QuoteMurray's brick says: "Sorry Cubs fans, Sept. 28, 1995."

Why would we care?  WE wanted to kill Myers at the time.  Pussy.

In spite of the Carnival Barker's alleged support, this hopefully sinks this asswipe.  I mean seriously--it's RED SOX FONT!!!!  What a phony.

And kudos to our favorite man-hating wannabe Trixie for busting this schmoe.
And yet where was this noted first?

The only site you'll ever etc. etc.

C'mon.  You think she trolls here?  With the beating she takes?

Of course maybe that's why her profile photo it looks like she's been crying for 2 weeks.
No I don't think she picked it up here. Enough people know about it that it was eventually going to get out.
I'm just noting that it was here first.

Another example how some people can turn shit into gold.

Please don't tell me this scrotumhead's stupid slogan is getting traction.
Oh I'm tellin' ya.
Here you go.
I suggest you get rid of any sharp objects within arms reach first.

Quote"The fans have been unbelievable," DeRosa said. "And as good as they've been, that's how hard they rode us early on, and rightfully so. We deserved it at that time. I really get a kick out of the signs like 'It's Gonna Happen.'

"Hopefully we buy into that. I know a lot of guys think something special is going on right now, and we're just trying to ride it out."

I saw a guy with that sign on TV. Looked like a professional sign, nice graphics on an acrylic board...probably someone in Marketing came up with that - look for T-shirts to show up any minute now.
The guys who are involved with that slogan started it for Chicago's Olympic bid. The city was close to buying into it but eventully decided against. Olympic logo legal issues. They are now selling it with a Cub tie in.

If I told you who is behind this you wouldn't believe it.

Is it you, flannj? Are you cflanns@comcast.net?

Sorry. I need to quit pretending to be Veronica Mars.

Or is it the John Murray who wanted to fight Randy Myers after he gave up an 8th inning home run?

Nice catch, TJ.

Well done TJ.

Pshaw.

I was totally in a full minute earlier.

Unless, of course, he recognized that name off the top of his head, which I'm suspecting he did.

In which case... Bully for TJ, indeed.
I went back and edited. Pretty impressive by all three of you.

Wow.  Is it really 20-10?

This game is the Sox' version of that weird Sunday "evening" game last year vs. the Mets when the Cubs gave up 63 runs in one inning.

20-14 was the final score. The Sux left the bases loaded as Prickzynski struck out.

Any triple plays?

Me, I like Comcast.  The bundled interwebs service saves a bit of cash.  The DVR is sucky garbage, but Comcast has a deal with Tivo and Tivo w/ On-Demand (no CableCARD limited functionality) will be available in the fall (at least that's what they are saying).  On-Demand is very nice.  Does DirecTV have that yet?  I had DirecTV a couple of years ago and they did not.

2nd for Comcast.

If nothing else their HD is a far higher quality that D*.  D* compresses the shit out of their HD signals and it's only going to get worse when they add more channels.  And they've been saying they're gonna have over 100 channels added for over a year now.  The HD DVR is fine.  Not TIVO good, but it does a good job.  On-Demand is also worthy of a splooge thread.
What Ghost said. The compression is so bad over a dish you can't even get close to 720 much less ever getting 1080. I haven't had too many problems with the Comcast HD DVR. When it has given me trouble unplugging it and letting it reset has fixed the problem. Both cable and internet customer service SUCKS though.
