Caught the new episode last night...

I guess they can't all be classics.

What are you talking about?  That episode last night was great!  More origins and Shore Leave.
I liked the "The Invisible Hand of Fate" episode a lot more that second time I watched it.  The Dr. Girlfriend cameo in Professor Fantomas's office, "Little Nemo has fallen out of bed.", the removal of Professor Impossible's name from the office window...good stuff.
Finally had a chance to see this one...I liked it just fine.

I'd really love to see a Dose on this. I never get tired of reading Gordo bashing.

http://www.desipio.com/?p=1470

Do I save this for work, do I read it now...damn it. This is tough.

I chose now. Or I guess I should say I chose now a few minutes ago. It was a good choice. Probably the funniest thing I've read since coming round these here Desipio parts (right up there with Apex's description of his buddy's deuce).

I asked a friend to print it out and bring it to the ballgame. I read it between innings.  I'm glad I never had to explain my LOL'd...LOLing to the family sitting behind us.

Just to bring closure to Oleg's anectdote...

I, too, had the chance to read the printed-out version of the Dose, between innings at the game.   To do it between innings means that each of us required about 3 innings to get through the whole damn thing.  It was like Dolan was backed up or something and took a Kurt Evans-laced Ex-Lax.  So that was my first reading of it--old-school, at the park--and it was epic.

Anyway, upon concluding my reading of it, I had the idea that maybe Gordon would want to have a gander; spot some constructive ideas, help him along.  So after the 7th inning, we began the long trek to the upper deck, so that we could ensure that this piece found Gordon.

I had, prior to this, written on the outside of the stapled, 35-page tome, which was folded in half the following:

To:  Gordon Wittenmeyer
From:  E. Hartig

And we were on our way.  After listening to my story about my "crazy Uncle Ed, who lives in Skokie and reads everything about the Cubs" the elderly security guard  (is there really any other kind there?) at the press box referred me to "Keith" who was the desired go-between between the yokels and the Lords of the Media.  I repeated my hackneyed story about "Uncle Ed in Skokie" and Keith looked me in the eye, took the Dose (only seeing that it was addressed to GW and from "E. Hartig") and said, "I'll make sure Gordon gets this."

Of course Gordo probably threw it in the can after seeing the picture and reading two paragraphs, but you know; I was only trying to be helpful.
Oh. Hell. Yes.

Season two arrives Wednesday.

Finished Disc 1 of Season 2 yesterday.  You are in for a treat.  I think it was from Season 1, but I thought the "Ignore me!" alien was going to be the death of me.

Thank you, Apex.  Thank you very much.

Did you notice Stephen Colbert as the voice of Mr. Impossible (stretchy dude)?

The "Ignore me!" alien was a fucking riot. When he yelled it at the cab driver I lost my shit completely. I've seen that episode three times now and it just flat out never gets old. This series kicks up about 30 notches on the second disc of season two. Wait til you see the Scooby Doo gang. Oh, holy crap.
What he said. That episode is ridiculous good. Although nothing tops the season 2 finale for me.

Fuck ya'll*.  I post the original reason to go to Kansas in the first place, and now nobody wants to swing by Kentucky to pick me up?

Midwestern elitists.

*Now, the redneck starts to come out.

"Fuck y'all" sounds more Georgia than Kentucky.
Make it "Fuck ALL y'all" (as suggested above) Lynch someone, and you got Upstate South Carolina down.

No argument here. I'm from the coast.

If you're sick of waiting or reading this thread with a curiosity as to the show's awesomness but don't want to spend money on cartoons, just go to adultswim.com and become more cool for free.
Just watched the season 3 premiere. Brilliant.

Watching season one right now. This is a pretty awesome show.

Dr. Venture is pretty much awesome. And Dr. Girlfriend is also awesome.

Add: Finished first disc of season one. Steak sauce.

The Ghost Pirate thing was just awesome.

I just finished Disc 1 last night, too.  Great recommendation, Apex.  I love how abrupt the endings are.  And Brock Samson's rage is a sight to behold.  Love the episode when his secret agent license expires and he keeps wanting to murder the bartender who makes fun of his mullet.

I almost pissed myself when he beat the shit out of the ghost.

Or when he refuses to use a gun at the shooting range and uses the cutout of the lady and her baby to beat the shit out of the other cutouts?  Fantastic.

Or when he fucks a dolphin? I'm telling you, hurry up.

Sent Disc 1 in today.  Disc 2 should be in my grubby hands by Wednesday.

We're in the exact same situation. Let's see how this plays out...together.

I bailed on you, and for that, I am truly sorry.  $44 with free shipping for seasons one and two.  I pulled the trigger, and I don't regret it.
You shouldn't. That show just keeps getting better. The finale for season one blew my mind, and the finale for season 2 is better.

When 21 and 24 started arguing about Smurfs I actually said out loud: "I am the target demographic for this show."

Venture Bros. is outstanding.

Wait til you get to the second disc of Season II. That's when this show REALLY hits its stride. I think the first season is good but the second season blew my mind so many times I can't count. And season three is off to roaring good start with last night's ep. Hurry up fuckers so I can discuss this shit with you without worrying about spoilers.

The only one I haven't seen is the first ep of the third season. Were you aiming that at Kerm?

Yeah, I was aiming something else at you. JO only though. Poss. hanjob exchange.
Solid.

QuoteSAN FRANCISCO -- Padres manager Bud Black said on Sunday that pitcher Mark Prior will have season-ending surgery on his right shoulder this week.

Prior, attempting to come back from major shoulder surgery in April 2007, will have the anterior capsule of his right shoulder repaired by team physicians in San Diego.

Earlier this month, Prior learned that he had a tear in the capsule of his shoulder when he visited orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who performed the original surgery on Prior's shoulder on April 24, 2007.

After that diagnosis, Prior was told not to pick up a baseball for two weeks. At the end of those two weeks, he would be re-evaluated.

Prior signed a one-year deal with San Diego on Dec. 26 for $1 million with incentives that could have reached $3 million.

"For Mark, I can't imagine how frustrated he is," Black said.

Looks like Mark just bought the doctor a new house.

Not this time... Prior is using his "have 12 surgeries, get the 13th free" card.
Good thing he remembered to get his card punched last time.
