Hey - this is a Netflix show by Maria Bamford and it's fucking incredible.
Watch it for laughs.

OK A-holes. It's fixed. Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them. I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

So he's still a very good pitcher, obviously, and he's got the stuff to get by at 93-94, but I don't think Chris Sale is the same guy anymore. He said early in the year he was trying to conserve energy and be more efficient by pitching to contact but I don't think he hit 97 at all last night even when he was in jams and trying to get the K. His average fastball velocity is down by almost 3 MPH from last year and he's striking out 3 fewer batters per 9. His FIP has gone up a full run.
Obviously he's still a top end starter with a ludicrously cheap contract but if I were the White Sox I really would sell him now because I think he's already started the slow decline phase. They could probably still get a nice return for him next year if they wanted but I doubt his value is going to go up from here.

Dwyane Wade. Yay?
Gotta get back into that 4-6 seed for next year's traditional second round exit.
Wildly optimistic.

I hope Hamilton isn't seriously hurt because Rizzo bouncing an inside the park homer off of his stupid face is poetic justice.

Kris Bryant had 5 extra base hits Monday night, and Jason Heyward has 5 in his last 19 games (none in his last seven)
To be fair, nobody expected Heyward to match Bryant's offensive output.
Heyward has been offensively putrid all season, but at some point he's got to correct himself, right? There's nothing in his career to indicate he'll remain this horrible.
And as long as the Cubs are banged up, there aren't really a whole lot of other options in the 2 spot. Even Zobrist hasn't been doing a whole lot of hitting lately, last night's HR notwithstanding.
You would think that, but his career numbers indicated he would usually correct himself by now. June is one of his best months, and yet he's been even worse in the second half of this month than he's been all year. I'm starting to think that "sore wrist" was more than they let on and it's sapped him of all of his power.
I don't think he'll be this bad forever. But I think he might be this bad for the rest of the year because whatever is bugging him (minor injury, trouble adjusting, mechanical problem) is going to be tough to fix before the offseason.
