OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Slak.... Chuck.....man I thought I got all my crying out yesterday. I really didn't think it would get all dusty in this Starbucks in Crown Point fucking Indiana while I work on boring accounting shit. I should have waited to finish my work before logging on to this damn message board.

I was going to say something shitty about how wrong Vlahos was, but I sincerely hope he's enjoying this instead of just wanting to be right.

He looked kinda silly when he threw out a runner at first. The Dodgers sure showed him!

Nobody will defend his bat, but let's not forget his momentum-killing throw-out at home in Game 4 that occurred before the Cubs bats came alive. The Dodgers might've had a very different inning, and game, had that out not occurred.

Except he weirdly took forever to get rid of the ball and Gonzalez was probably almost safe. But yes, his defense is obviously good. It just doesn't nearly make up for him being an automatic out at this point.

Joe is being stubborn about this.

That play still bugs me. He took so long that I thought I was wrong about where the runners were. I thought maybe Gonzalez made it to third at some point but I missed it.

There's no way Joe can play him against a lefty. If he needs and excuse to sit him, then there it is. He's no more than a defensive replacement at this point... assuming he can remember to throw the ball quickly.

I think we can stop the psycho analysis and just get back to enjoying the incredible baseball team now

Some fans are more pessimistic. Some fans are more optimistic. Everyone should just do their own thing, but try to enjoy this. There's no right way or wrong way to be a fan... except the Vlahos way. That's definitely wrong.

Didn't Chapman say he doesn't like to come in the game in the middle of an inning? That was the most important thing to me. If that's what he needs to be comfortable, then so be it. Eli is right... he was managing like a regular season game trying to squeeze more out of lesser relievers, but then he managed Chapman like a post season game by using him in a crucial situation even though Chapman doesn't like to work that way. Joe did everything backwards last night.

Goddamn I forgot how much I hate Bob Costas.

I'm guessing I should be glad I couldn't hear any sound except college football at the bar I was at?

Probably. He's the fucking worst.

I had kind of thought the Costas hate was overblown, but I guess I don't really pay attention to him too much. Olympics coverage is crap anyway, and he fits perfectly for that, but I don't really watch it. And I skip all NFL pre-game coverage, so I don't hear him there. But after last night I get it now. What a sanctimonious douche bag.

I think Snork got off too easy last night, but it was still glorious.

The first half, where he fires back at Prequel Apologists, is great.

Cool... I could watch prequel bashing all day.

After that, though, saying "did we really need all of this diversity, kids never cared before about this shit, only adults care about diversity in characters" is patent bullshit and a really white guy way of thinking about things.

Crap... maybe I'll skip this then.

Anyone win the ticket lottery?

I did.

What the fuck dude.
I thought you and Kerm both died.

Mrs. Butthead was asking about Pre a week or so ago. One of two Desipiot clients we had. I said he disappeared and maybe he died or something.

Saw her and Frank the Tank on Milwaukee the other day while walking to dinner.  Had a pleasant convo about the raccoon walking along the curb mere feet away at 5:30pm in broad daylight.  What at time to live in the suburbs!

She mentioned that. I think that's what prompted her to ask about the other client from Desipio.

...sure we all said some dumb shit about it, but it was still dumb for her to basically trade a date for superbowl tickets and then cry sexism whenever someone reminded her that she did that.

There's a way to do that without insulting her appearance, etc., which is my only point here.

Yeah, like I said there's no doubt we (and others far worse than us) went over the top in the criticism of her, and people who act like she hasn't established herself in her career by her own merits now are jackasses. I'm not really in range of ESPN 1000 but I listen to it often when I'm back home and the Score is being nauseating and she's a pretty good radio personality with mostly non-meathead opinions that I enjoy.

I just have always found the Superbowl stunt to have been pretty damn lame and pathetic and she did open herself to criticism both fair and unfair by doing it.

Didn't it help launch her career though? Or was she already on the radio? It may have been lame, but it worked.
