Which made it an absolute must to sear all sides of the meat first in a cast iron pot.

Pork crust is basically the greatest thing ever. One can make some pretty good pulled pork by searing the outside for a few minutes and then cooking slowly in a crock pot. Easy as can be.

Then again, living in KC, it feels futile to try my hand any sort of pork or barbecue product at home so I rarely bother.

And who knew we had so many epicureans here on Desipio?

Just a guess here, but the average Desipiot is probably 10-15% overweight.

Speak for yourself tubby.

And shouldn't the two of us only know how to boil meat?

Speaking for myself, I'd peg the number at closer to 20%.

And dinner was never something we looked forward to growing up.

Does half a potato and a tumbler of whiskey count as "dinner" now?

For dessert he got hit with a belt.

And fishsticks during lent.

Half a potato?  Jesus we weren't destitute!

Anyone have experience with RSV in babies?
Positive feedback only, please.

As a father whose 18 month old has barked like a baby seal at times and otherwise dealt with similar respiratory woes, I truly empathize with you.  However,

Sitting in hospital holding my 10 month old son who's hooked up to an oxygen machine. Was just looking for something like, "oh, we went through that. Shitty week, but then everything was fine. Just needs to run its course."

DPD.

Realize this is the 2nd time I've had depressing hospital posts. Apologies for the sadsackery, was just looking for any RSV feedback, I know it's relatively common, though severity varies.

I mean it wasn't RSV but it was infectious and clearly painful.  Also my wife takes the boy to the hospital.  I'd probably lose my shit if I saw my kid hooked up to one of those.

The pants you were wearing yesterday. Or they fell behind your nightstand.

The correct answer is: elephants don't HAVE keys, Mr. Tank.

Obviously, the keys were sitting out in the open in the general vicinity of a spot I checked at least three times. In the middle of a table.
