Indeed it is.

Except when it isn't.

You don't want to go to Kansas City, KS or Kansas City, MO.

But that's just me'ed.

Careful there...there's some good ribs in KC.

Amen.

I love Chicago, and I'll wholeheartedly agree that it's a cooler city than Kansas City.  But still, I like it here.  There's plenty to do -- lots of concerts and shows, and the food is great.  Plus, for a decent-sized city, traffic and cost of living are manageable.

Anyway, if either Kerm or Slaky want to put aside their geographical snobbery and come visit, the barbecue is on me.  I'll probably make you find a hotel to stay in though.  No gay stuff.

[/oversensitivity about where I live]

Kansas City and Indianapolis are practically twin cities.

Yay?

Does Kansas City have it's own Martinsville near by? That's where the best of the Indy area is on display. Culture galore.

We have Independence, Missouri.

Isn't there some pancake house chain around Independence, something like the 49er or something like that? Pretty damn cultured, as far as I recall.

Isn't KC south of the newly re-named "IHOP/Waffle House" line?

Also, I was in KC once for a whole week (work-related), and I positive it.  I was in a bad mood when I arrived, because it was after that retarded Cubs/Expos game in 2000 which I watched at O'Hare when the Cubs lost like 16-15.  Can't remember the places we ate at, but I do remember The Hurrican and Ziegfields.  Good times.

As someone who grew up in the north suburbs but did his educatin' down south I can say that Waffle House beats the everloving shit out of IHOP. Open 24 hours, everything is greasy, delicious, and made right in front of you, and you meet way more interesting people. Nothing like getting a pledge to drive you to Waffle House at 3AM when you have a craving for hashbrowns and conversing with meth-heads. Much better than running into douchey goth kids at a north suburban IHOP/Denny's

Pledge?  Ghey.

Way up north where I used to be, there were no Waffle Houses.  True story.  There was a Denny's, though, but I didn't frequent it.  Too many close calls in there, if ya catch my drift.  There was a little 24 hour place called Moe's that was very Waffle House-ish.

The Waffle House is the South's greatest contribution to American cuisine. IHOP can kiss my rooty-tooty fresh and fruity ass.

And Denny's sucks butt. Especially if you're on your laptop.

KC wins this round, if only by dint of the American Jesus factor.

Izzy on the DL after hitting a TV in TLRs office.  Must have been showing his 'highlights'

I need a ruling on this...

What would be the proper action verb when this sort of rage is directed at an inanimate object?

"To Tightpants" or "to AIDS-Face"?
