If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

THOUGHTS?!?!

I honestly thought the Yankees would sign him, but this shit is even too rich for their blood.

If Albie signs before testing the waters after the season, he should have his enormous head examined.

So it's too rich for the Yankees, but not too rich for the Cardinals?

I think you're getting your cliches confused.

According to sources (i.e. shit I've read on the internet which probably means its unsubstantiated) Pooholes wants to stay in St. Louis his entire career and has told the Cards to worry about signing players at this point.

Albie will only stay if the Cards threaten to release details on his steroid regime, birth date, and real name.

George has pretty much taken his hands off the wheel of the team, the proof of which is that the Yankees have actually signed some good pitchers. When the Baron was in charge, he'd take any LH hitter with pop, and hope they could score more runs than Ed Whitson could let in.

The run in the late 90s was the result of George Sr. being suspended, and Bob Watson and Gene Michael put the team together.

There's no way in Hell George would have taken guys like Cone, Key, or Clemens.

or Scott Brosius.
