Dusty's new Neifi?  In terms of playing time, I hope.

Miles could  be his new leadoff hitter or at least bat second since he will be playing second base.

Except in the hot summer months, when...you know...

Playing the Reds will be akin to pushing a paralyzed kid out of his wheelchair.

Unless you're also paralyzed and in a wheelchair and the other kid is being a dick. Those 86 wins gotta come from someplace.

Miles should get a wonderful reception in his first at bat in Chicago. I hope I'm there. I'll bring batteries.

More importantly, and should be noted- with the DFA, former Ivy6 teammate and Adam Rosales becomes the headliner. Good luck to him.

Really?

When I retire, I don't want to just move to some island somewhere. I want to be the guy who gives it all back. I want it to be like, 'Hey... who built that statue of Bud Selig that's touching so many lives?' 'I don't know. It was anonymous.' 'Well, guess what. It was Bud Selig.' 'But how do you know? It was anonymous.' [pause] 'Because I'm him.' 'I thought it smelled like cabbage in here.'
Can you help me live a little more?  I expect good news.

Really?

QuoteSelig's statue, which will be more than 7 feet tall, will be built by the same designer, Brian Maughan.

How appropriate that Selig's statue will be grossly enlarged.

QuoteRoyals pitching coach said Wednesday that Kyle Farnsworth will compete for a job in the starting rotation.

"We're going to lengthen him out and see how it goes," McClure said. "Because what he showed me last year was the ability to back off a little bit and not pitch with his hair on fire. And, to be a starter, you have to be able to just kind of go pitch-by-pitch."

Was he backing off or just hungover?

Bump. Rotoworld.

"Derrick Turnbow's toe "exploded" before throwing a bullpen session on Sunday.
"My toenail jammed up in my shoe about a week ago and it caused it to swell up," said Turnbow. "It got infected and it affected my command a lot the first two times I was out. I didn't say anything (to the coaching staff). Today, it busted open and all the blood came out. It felt better immediately." Good news for the erratic reliever, and with this news, we can only assume he's been bothered by this affliction for the entirety of his career. Turnbow, who was signed to a minor league contract in January, has averaged 5.9 BB/9 in 257 major league appearances.
