I don't see anyway this ends up with Pujols somewhere other than St. Louis.

Bookmarked with hopefulness.

Bookmark this too, because even though I hate PenFoe, I agree with him. I'd love to be wrong though

Unbookmarked. I want to see how this play's out first.

You guys know you don't have to bookmark specific comments, right?
You can find them right on the message board.

Yeah, I think they are going to let Ortiz walk and go after Pujols. Only question is, and maybe it doesn't really matter, but would they make Adrian Gonzalez the DH full-time or would they have the two split 1B/DH duties?

The only chance the Cubs have is if the Yanks and Red Sox are out and the Cardinals continue this dumb negotiating policy.

I'm thinking that's not going to be a big concern.

Well having $350 million or so wrapped up between 1B and DH (either Gonz/Pujols or Tex/Pujols) is a little absurd, even for a team like the Yanks or Red Sox.

I don't see anyway this ends up with Pujols somewhere other than St. Louis.

I don't think BC was talking about money. I think he was talking about who was going to play and who was going to DH. Maybe he was thinking about money. Maybe I don't give him enough credit.

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) - Cardinals' 20-game winner Adam Wainwright
has injured his throwing elbow and is returning to St. Louis to
have it examined by team doctors.
General manager John Mozeliak said Wednesday that "things do
not look encouraging" for the 2010 Cy Young runner-up based on the
initial evaluation by training staff. He said the right-hander
injured his elbow on the third to final pitch of Monday's bullpen
session.
Wainwright went 20-11 with a 2.42 ERA in 2010 in finishing
second in the Cy Young balloting to Philadelphia's Roy Halladay.
