I have a clock that marks the hour with different recorded quotations from Homer Simpson.  My favorite is "Feelin' stupid?  I know I am."  That expresses my feeling about waitng for Mark Prior to become the "Franchise".

You, sir, are the coolest older gentleman I know.  Also, the coolest lawyer.

Watch out who you call a "gentleman"

New record: HelloWorld is drunk at 9:40 a.m.

Yeah, but Oleg did a wake & bake at 6:30.

I refuse to believe that.

That Oleg woke up at 6:30.

When I was in Korea, I was usually drunk before 5 AM.  That was when the Cubs games would come on around then, and I was incapable of handling the 2006 team sober.

For more on Hack, go to your local library and read "Veeck as in Wreck" where you can read Veeck recreating his earlier days when, as a kid, he would pour ice into the tub for Hack to work off his hangover/drunkeness.

From the Padres portion of MLB.com Sunday:

QuotePitcher Mark Prior is returning to San Diego on Sunday, though it won't be to pitch for the Padres.

Prior experienced discomfort in his surgically repaired right shoulder during a throwing session on Saturday. He will be examined by team doctors on Sunday.

"I think you can call it a setback," San Diego manager Bud Black said, "but we'll know more [Sunday]."

Prior experienced the soreness while throwing a batting practice session Saturday at the Padres Spring Training facility in Peoria, Ariz., that was cut short.

As the thread title says, somebody else's problem.

Serves Mary right, the greedy bitch. All Hendry wanted was an '09 option, because it was likely Prior would have nothing to offer in '08. And he was right. Fuck Mary, '03 is a distant memory. She can commisserate with David Clyde, Mark Fidrych and other one-shot wonders ruined by arm injuries. Couldn't have happened to a nicer girl, though!
