This is one of the most creative threads that I have seen here, so I am interjecting some of my pedestrian buzzkill commentary.

Maybe because it is set in Santa Barbara and (except for Dule Hill) everyone on it is blond and/or blue eyed, middle class and WASP, it is one of the most white bread things that I have ever seen.  (Come to think of it, Roday claims to be Hispanic, but who would think it on this show?)
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

White breadedness aside, Psych is back on and still awesome.

I like the one where Shawn has a hunch about something and Gus doesn't want to go along with it at first.

Are you sure you're not thinking of that one episode of Monk where the cops don't trust his judgment about the true identity of the killer?

I prefer the episode of House where they misdiagnose the patient's illness, with temporarily disastrous consequences.

Intrepid Reader: Chuck

Or that episode of Lost when no one asks "Why?"
Or that episode of Three's Company when there's a mis-communication and one person thinks the other two are having sex.

Way to keep it current, That '70s Chuck.
Or that episode of NYPD Blue where the detectives pair off to solve separate murders, do so cleanly by the end of an hour, Medavoy is uncomfortable, James makes a joke, and some skank actress shows her ass.

I will not stand idly by while you slander Dennis Franz

New season starts tonight.

So watch it, and then call up Slak and tell him how awesome it was and that it must suck to not be able to see it.

Psych watchers, how much does Santa Barbara play into the show?  The one time I watched it I saw the courthouse but haven't caught it since.  Do they ever go to beach house parties in Isla Vista and eat burritos at Freebird's until 6 in the morning with bikini-clad UCSB students?

I think the show is actually filmed in Canada.

In other words, as someone within the 18-64 demo who has lived in both Evanston and Santa Barbara, I am Psych's target audience?

Also: I think CT must be referring to The Mentalist on (IIRC) CBS.

Smug face, and he wears vests.

Smug indeed.

Needed somewhere to post this...

http://hucksblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/sledgehammer-and-whore.html

... and this thread seemed relevant:

QuoteThe Mentalist isn't the best sex you've ever had, but it's also not likely to leave you to finish yourself off while your partner falls asleep to reruns of "Cheaters".

Read the whole damn thing.

It's not actually about the Mentalist. At least not mostly.

Edit:

No, really.

I know it's long. But don't give up before the hooker makes her appearance.
