...God Bless America and the National Anthem sung at a baseball game puts a lump in my throat.

... I think Wayne Messmer is massively over-rated.  Pitch-wise, he's all over the fucking place.

I think he's lost a couple ticks on his fastball. Pitch-wise he may be compensating for loss of voice. I thought he was amazing when I was younger but now, there's something amiss.

Probably lead poisoning.

.....the Cubs bench is so thin I was only half kidding when I said the Cubs needed to right that wrong and try out Casey McGehee...
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

To be fair, SKO says a lot of things.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I said it on Twitter, jokingly, and then the more I thought about the more saddened I became by the thought that he's probably a hell of a lot better even now than Mike Baxter.

At her 6-year wellness check-up today, my daughter registered a 13 BMI (27th percentile for height, 5th percentile for weight), which puts her in the 1st percentile for her overall BMI for her age group.

Not sure how well she stacks up to play CF, but we should at least consider it for the future.

Elk is red meat, and it's very lean.  Wouldn't help her fat content very much.

I hope the Cubs take the best available college hitter on the board again with the 9th pick in the draft, position be damned.
