If today, right now, was the high point of this team, I think Theo's already done his job.

Have you heard of something called the World Series? It's a slightly higher point than one game against Cincinnati in April.

I admit it, I haven't the slightest what you're trying to say.

Based on the timestamp, Pen may have been drunk and feeling sentimental.

There's a chance I was less than sober when I posted this.

But, my point was  that he's put together a team good enough to win the World Series and contend for many years to come.
The rest is on the players and coaches.

so what you're saying is there's no need to extend Theo.

I think it's time for David Ross to assume complete control over the Cubs.
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

What makes you think he hasn't?

And pure chance. Anything can happen in October. What seems likely is that the Cubs will have a lot of opportunities, which is all any organization can ask for.

I admit it.  I think that Desipio is becoming just a little bit too statistics-oriented.

Most of my posts say something like, "What the hell is this thread about?"

That made them about 57% better than the rest of us according to Weighted Desipio Content Rating, or wDCR+.

Interestingly enough much like Juan Pierre and Adam Dunn, the opposing styles of Fork (many posts, no quality), and JD (very few posts, always a winner) have contributed to basically the same career PAR value.

Stats are fascinating.

I read this as I was answering the phone at work and now this tax collector is no doubt wondering why I was laughing out loud. This is well done.

I didn't watch any Blackhawks games this season. I caught bits and pieces and checked some scores but I just never did it. I told myself I'd get into it once the playoffs started but I never got around to it. When the game was on at Cody's the other night I was infatuated with the Cubs in St. Louis.

The Kane stuff turned me off early and while they now tell me it was all made up, I didn't remember to give a shit.

I really watched fewer Cavs games too and my NBA League Pass barely got used. I sold nearly all my Bears tickets and didn't tune in for a few those games too.

I think I'm at a point where I only really, truly care about the Cubs. A solid, title contender of a Bears team could easily capture my attention, I'm sure. But I just don't seem to care about sports like I used to. It feels bad.
The 39th Tenet of Pexism: True in the game as long as blood is blue in my vein.
