OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

.... this is completely irrational and dumb, but I'm terrified about the Cubs because they won 8 games in a row to end the year. THEY HAVE TO LOSE SOMETIME AND THE 9TH GAME SEEMS MORE LIKELY (I know it's not, but the Pank in me is having a heart attack)

Calm down, dude.

Jake Arrieta.

2 more, then they can lose the Bullpen Game in extras to STL.

Or they can just make it an even 20.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

The old fart in me is still worried that Jake is less Greg Maddux and more Mike Bielecki.

That's dumb...though I'll admit that there's a small irrational part of me that somehow wishes our bearded right-hander didn't finish 16-1.

This is the worst thing that you have ever said.

You have to allow it, even to Chuck. That's what this thread is for.

I am nervous about how NOT nervous I am. Jake has instilled too much faith in me, and thus if they lose it will be even more soul crushing simply because the existential dread I usually feel before Cubs playoff games has been replaced with confidence. The fall would be long and hard.

I trust completely in Jake, but I'm not a huge fan of the trash talking on Twitter.

Just seems like there's little upside there.
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

I'm not going anywhere near it: I don't enjoy it at all.

I'm not nervous at all. Not just because I believe Jake Arrieta will throw 17 scoreless innings if that's what they need to win, but also because it isn't like 2008 where the window was closing. The window is still not fully open. Whatever happens here is just the next step in the plan.

I know that Vlahos guy gets mocked for talking about the "cult of Theo," but this makes you sound like you're in a cult.
