One of the things that seems to happen in the On-Hoops Threads is people get annoyed with something that's said and reply with suggestions to the effect of, "Stop posting." It's one thing when TDubbs does it because he's just an asshole and that's his thing that he does. But this is an open forum and a thread about the NBA, not just the Bulls. People who like the sport, whether they watch it every day or have watched it casually for 40 years or have never watched it are allowed to post opinions here.

Now, today is a day unlike most others, in which the hometown team has been bounced from the playoffs. So, I'm going to write off Eli's "STOP TALKING ABOUT SPORTZ" post as just some raw anus on a shitty SPORTZ day. I don't expect any nice words or a cold beer and a back pat when the Heat or Purdue suffer elimination and/or serious injuries to their best players. Don't expect that from me.

But I'll try to be nice.

Then you're right. This team will be an overachieving, try hard, decent team like they were this year.
Unless they get creative in trades, which hasn't been something garpax has been too interested in before.

My biggest worry with next year is that Rose gets rushed back too early in an attempt to be competitive and does long-term damage to himself. The Bulls organization obviously has a pretty sketchy history with injured guys, even before these last few weeks.

This is a very legitimate concern. These guys are almost a lock to screw that up.

Why are you here? I know you've only liked the Heat for about 5 minutes so maybe you haven't found a place on the Internet to talk about them, but go Google it or something.

What?

I was almost entirely joking. The part that wasn't joking indeed has a raw anus.

Carlos keeps it all in perspective.

"However, that doesn't excuse this head-scratching analysis by Bulls forward Carlos Boozer after Thursday's loss: "We had the best record again in basketball, won our division again, had the top seed again, that's all that matters, yo."

I'd like to know what the question was.

I'd like to know what the question was.

He could have said the smartest thing in the world but ending the sentence with 'yo' invalidates anything preceding it.

In this case though, he also said some of the dumbest words in history before the 'yo'.

Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

20 in a row for the Spurs. Damn they're good. How is Apex not here taking credit for the streak?

My original point was that they scare the shit out of me and will probably ruin everything. So I'm too busy sadsacking it up with every successive, convincing, ballcrushing win they put up. They've turned everybody's beloved Thunder into a high-scoring, yet clueless blob of 80s-era skinny guy in shortshortedness. It's fucking terrifying.

In the NBA the refs determine the outcome, so who knows how it will play out. Just like stern rigging the lottery.

If Stern wanted to rig the lottery, it makes more sense for New Jersey to get the #1 pick, not the smallest market that no one cares about. I'm just happy the Bobcats didn't get it, we need them to suck to make our pick more valuable.

Oh, they are going to suck alright. How long is that pick protected for?

For a long time. Top 12 in 2013, top 10 in 2014, top 8 in 2015, finally unprotected in 2016.
