Stop arguing with SKO on this. This thread, like Frank, needs to be purged from our souls. Nothing good can come from belaboring this point and bringing up more useless turds of any era.

Moving on...

Forte money franchise tag.

Life in the NFL ain't fair'd

I will give this to Jerry, I'm pretty sure he won on the whole Forte thing. He made him a fair offer last offseason (I don't care what anyone said, 14 million guaranteed is nothing to bitch about), Forte gambled, he lost, and now Forte has to accept the tag without much leverage. Savvy.

I've never wanted them to "Pay Forte" because he's a running back and he's been overworked. Then again it's not my money and if the Bears aren't going to spend to the cap anyway, who gives a shit.

I feel like him getting Franchised means he got his fucking money. Yay for him. Now get out of the way so the team can sign some WRs and OLs. #savejaycutler

#savejaycutler is a good theme for this offseason. I give it the SKO stamp of approval. I'll even mention it on the blog when I start writing it again sometime in July.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

I don't think, 1-year, $7.7 million was exactly what he had in mind in terms of getting paid.

Forte can join the long list of players who learn that "the franchise tag is all well and good until it actually gets used on me."

If Forte wants to complain, he can blame this whole situation on his pathetic labor organization, which got totally de-pantsed in negotiations, allowing the owners to dominate the agreement.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

He should just vent his rage at labor lawyers in general. We'll purge the Earth of their scum.
