When I said dodgy I did not mean 'you're taking your life in your hands'.  More like 'its like sitting on a ski jump slope and you'll feel a bit queasy'.  But the other thing is the food is better downstairs and they don't let on the 100 level if you have 300 level seats (at least they didn't used to).
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Top tips as to where to watch the Air show from?  We have two beaches near us: Foster and Montrose.  Will we see much from there?
Your toilet's broken, Dave, but I fixed it.

Show center is North Avenue.  Anything from Belmont down is great.  North of that gets a bit far for the smaller planes.

This is America.  Watch it on your tiny smartphone screen as you record a video that your family will never see or remember.
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

Montrose is closer but I'm gonna let somebody else weigh in on this.
Most of the smaller events occur in front of North ave. beach.

The Blue Angels kick ass... 'MURICA!
But it's going to be packed wherever you go.

Air show? Buzz-cut Alabamians spewing colored smoke from their whizz jets to the strains of "Rock You Like a Hurricane"? What kind of country-fried rube is still impressed by that?

Best spot, in terms of view and crowds (to me, anyway) is the little sliver of a park that exists to the north of the Drake Hotel. It never gets very crowded and you get to see all the awesomeness there.

And you can think to yourself, "Hey, this is where Bort took his wedding photos."

who's up for Brunch on Sunday?

Tonk told me he's going to hit Skydeck early - you want to eat before or after?

There are certainly options - I mean, there's always Lou Mitchell's.

We're going to be at the Skydeck for opening time, so we should be done by mid-morning. Yeti's in town with his missus, and last I heard, Oleg was planning to be in Chicago, too.

I can be anywhere by around 11:30. Who knows a good brunch place around Greektown?

Tonk had offhand mentioned Ann Sather but I'm down for whatever.
