This was some perfect Greek myth level comedy tragedy or something. Couldn't have gone any better. This site has been a great place to commiserate ever since 03.  Thanks for that and all. But fuck yeah Cubs!

This season was kind of like driving the Hana Highway. Lots of twists and turns, some fucked up pavement in spots, but by the time it's over you can't believe how glorious it all was.

Mazel Tov Stew!
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

So happy you got to see it Stew.  Now that they've won one for you - and everyone else we love that didn't quite see it - it'd be nice if they can win one for the rest of us sometime a little quicker than 108 years from now.

This team is so much better than any good Cubs team, I have cheered for: 1984, 1989, 1998, 2003, 2007, 2007, etc. A very worthy group of guys to remember.

I'm still weeping.

Happy for all of you.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

And thank you to my staff who was content letting me watch the game in the breakroom all evening instead of having me, you know, work...

I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep and cried in the car 4 times on the way to work. How's everybody else doing
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

I think it all started to hit me on the way in to the office this morning.  I reserve the right to erupt again at any moment. (Tears, dancing, who knows?  I'm in uncharted waters here.)

Running on four hours of sleep. Still no tears of any kind; I guess that's just not how I work. I find that I fluctuate between crushing anxiety and contentment when the Cubs are playing. I'm incredibly happy for the team and the fans... everybody deserves this.

My son is two years old. He'll be told about the 108 years of mediocrity, but he'll never experience or understand it like we do. To me, that's really just about the best part of this.
M'lady.

There have been many times in my life that I have kind of spontaneously shook my head and muttered, "fucking Cubs."

I'm doing it this morning, but it's completely different.
