I?m not going to give you the twenty-five adjectives writers in the general Chicago metropolitan area have probably given you today to describe the Cubs? play against the Cardinals.
In fact, I?m not even going to talk about it. I?ve gotten it off my mind.
Something a couple hours of cruising around town and playing NCAA Football 2005 can do.
My hometown is one of those towns that has one stoplight and two main roads. All the major stuff in town is on those two roads, so on a muggy summer night (Well, like last night), you can see people walking up and down the streets and people driving around and all that.
I know most of you probably don?t care about how I deal with things that make me mad. But I?m writing about it anyway. So there.

Well, last night wasn?t to look around at all those things. It was to get in the car but not really drive it, turn on the radio but not really listen, and think but not really vent. It?s not therapy, but I think it worked.
After one hour and 40 minutes, and a lot of loops around town, I felt a surprising calm around me. For the first time in a long time, I was just happy to not feel anything.
Even if it was for only ten or fifteen minutes, it was nice.

I did notice at one point there was a family walking through town I know a little bit. Too bad I was busy turning the volume down on my radio at that particular moment, or else I would have honked my car horn. Oh well, they probably just think I?m arrogant now or something. Although, the thought of someone thinking I am arrogant just makes me sick. Oh well, more cruising for tonight I guess.

After I went back home, I decided my best course of action was to ignore the sports highlight shows and the late night talk shows and the other crap on at 10:40 at night. So, it was time for NCAA Football 2005.
I?m in the second season of a dynasty with Illinois. It?s great playing Illinois on a football video game, because the Illini can actually win in the video game!
—–
Anyhow, my game was at Indiana. Well, I decided to take a little vengeance against the Hoosiers. My running back, RB #26 (Don?t you love video game names?), ran for 352 yards and five touchdowns while my Illini won the game 49-17.
I enjoy the dynasty mode in NCAA Football. The game has improved so much just in the past two or three years. Three years ago you wouldn?t have dreamed of the in-depth recruiting, the discipline, the Sports Illustrated feature.
—–
What I particularly like about the discipline feature is the fact it is versatile, and it doesn?t hurt you unless you allow it to by not giving enough points to the discipline part of the game. A great add-on.
About the only change needed there is the fact it should allow your player to do something to shorten the suspension if it?s applicable. Say a player breaks a team rule and you originally suspend them five games. But, if the player does something (Say does something for the community on his free time or shows up for extra film study or something), then you get the option of shortening it to maybe two games, without harming you in the eyes of the NCAA.
Of course, allowing you to set your own team rules (You can be very strict or very loose with the team rules) and other things that players could be disciplined for would also be nice. But the first change would be enough for me…

Another add-on EA should add for the next game is a little more control over how practices are run. If you want to practice your running game or your kicking or your pass defense, then you should be able to. But doing that might harm other things with your team, like your run defense or your endurance. I have heard something in this area may have been added for Madden 2005, so hopefully it will be in NCAA 2006.

Well, that was kind of liberating I guess. I know most of you probably don?t care about how I vent about stuff, as I said in the top, but I thought it a good idea to allow myself a cooling-down period on this site. Have a good day.

When you get old, you can just go to bed early, without any regrets. I missed all the sports highlights that way.
Well done!
An article about nothing.
You need to chop it up into one-sentence paragraphs before you really get the hang of it, however.
Try again.
A few more hacks at it like this one and you’ll be just that.
Like me.
A hack.
With little to no point.
Your preface to the town cruise had me thinkin’ we were in for a story along the lines of those submitted to Penthouse. I was just sure the story was going to end with you nailing some car hop while she still had her roller skates on. In the future would it be possible for you to fabricate a little? Your a college student and there is a certain amount of foolish living expected out of you. Is fat, drunk and stupid really too much to ask?
I ate a big red candle.
352 rushing yards? Sounds like someone needs to adjust their AI sliders!
Must you waste precious gallons of me idly cruising and pollutin’ just to forget a Cubs loss, guv’nor?
You want us to click on the links so we can continue to read crap like that?
Back when I coached the Hoosiers, NO ONE would come into "The House" and put up 352 yards on us. OK, Alonzo Highsmith had a nice afternoon against us in 1987, and it knocked us out of the Rose Bowl.
No one from Illinois did, though. We kicked Illini rump!
We were both much better off after we stopped coaching football at Indiana.
Miami of Ohio is the famed "Cradle of Coaches."
Indiana is the Coffin of Coaches.
I once had a bright coaching career in front of me. What happened? Let’s see. Hmm, I took the job at IU.
Gerry DiNardo, see your coaching career come to its merciful end soon!
Hey, my coaching career was over before I came to Bloomington! I coached in the XFL, dammit!
B.C. gets the best comments….
…and to think that was one of his better pieces?!?
