Just a few weeks ago we were all saying how good the season's been and there's one turd episode and now everything's gone to shit?

No, no.  If you're REALLY cool, you say that everything went to shit in 2006.

This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Does anybody still argue the American "Office" is better than the British one?

I think if it had ended after two seasons like it's counterpart they'd be about even.

Three seasons.

For a while there it was just as good, certainly - but getting out while you're ahead is something about which you Yanks have a lot to learn.

Yea. 1776...

Anyway, there was a British one?

So does your quest to start an "Eli is an Office apologist" meme stem from last month when you misinterpreted one of my posts and got butthurt?

But yes, full disclosure: I still sometimes enjoy watching the Office and I have for many years.  Long live it, indeed.

I find it interesting that any criticism of the show produces a spirited defense of the show from you.  I'm not trying to start a meme, not even a tiff or a dispute, but pretending that this show is anywhere near it's prime (c. seasons 2 and 3) and deserves the life-support and artificial age-extensions that NBC is sure to provide is just ridiculous.

This show has had a great run and deserves to move off the schedule to allow its natural progeny (Parks and Rec) to take its place.

I know it hasn't been anywhere near Seasons 2 or 3 this year, but the start of the season had been promising up until now.  It looked like it was getting better...not as good as the earlier seasons...but better than last season.

I agree about Parks and Rec.

I don't think it would take much to be better than last season.

I think this post is more spirited than anything Eli has ever written about The Office.

Just admit it, you're pissed that there's no room on NBC's schedule for Star Trek: Space Court.
