Missed you at the Cubs Convention.

Awww ... just wasn't up for it this year.  Or last year.

There are plenty of other opportunities to hang out with nerdy internet nerds.  Although if your "boyfriend" still doesn't like baseball, there are probably other issues in play.

He's 33, he hasn't started a game in 10 years, he's always struggled with his consistency, and there's always the delicate matter of whether he has a drinking problem. What could go wrong?

I've been half-assedly following the Royals for about four years now.  They haven't made a single smart decision during that entire time frame, so I have no idea why they'd start now.

I'm not sure that's eniterly true.

They managed to get Josh Fields for Mark Tehan, even if they also took Chris Getz.
They managed to sign Juan Cruz to a good contract.
They got Zach Grienke straightened out.

Ummm...they have rally good BBQ in KC, from what I understand.

So...yeah.

But he makes up for all those shortcomings with a pin-straight fastball and a shit slider.

What's the over/under on number of waitresses at The Hurricane getting knocked up this year?
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

This is true.  The Greinke contract extension was a great move.  I overlooked that one.

QuoteUmmm...they have rally good BBQ in KC, from what I understand.

And this is definitely true, though Dayton Moore could probably screw that up if he ever got involved.

I'm a big fan of Arthur Bryant's.  It was so good I almost didn't notice that we were sharing the dining room with roughly twelve million flies.
