Yeah the sad thing is David Ross doesn't even bother me that much anymore. His defense is great and in a vacuum he's an acceptable replacement level backup catcher.  The fact that they put themselves in a position where they traded away a power hitting catcher who was much younger for basically nothing so they could make room for David Ross is a bit irritating.  Oh well. Schwarber heals all things.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Semantics, but I think Ross was coming here no matter what with Lester. If you're doing the swap game, Castillo was probably traded to "make room" for Montero.

At least remember Olt fondly for gamely batting multiple time with a broken wrist so the Cubs wouldn't be forced to call up Bryant sooner than they wanted.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

"Fondly" is a bit strong.

Well he may have sucked something awful but his willingness to bat with a broken appendage and keep the braying idiots  from SCREAMING about Kris Bryant's service time and how the Cubs don't want to win and all that shit is worth something in my book.  So when Bryant's still bashing the shit out of the ball for the Cubs in 2022 I'll remember Olt fondly.

Mostly, though, I'll miss the references to Richard Harrow. That shit was quality.  Good night, sweet prince.

Kudos to Pex for saving that picture until the appropriate moment.

But the question is did the Cubs admit a mistake quickly enough to satisfy sourpuss Eli, hmmm?

Also I'm kind of curious what other examples he has of the front office being slow to admit mistakes. I can't really think of any mistakes they made that they didn't move on from quickly enough. Edwin was removed from the rotation and eventually the team the second they were trying to contend.
