My sister is considering a Chicago sabbatical from teaching law at West Virginia University in January-August next year. Where can person look for temporary housing possibly with other student/professor/graduate types? Are bulletin boards of this kind associated with the local universities? Air bnb seems too pricey and Craigs List will get you murdered?

What should she do?

Where did Tonk find his places last summer?

Airbnb.  Cost us a cunting fortune, especially with the exchange rate at close to parity.  I hope you enjoyed it.

Hasn't been near parity since mid-2014?

I can't find the origins of the "Huey thinks Donald Trump is a sensible moderate" meme. Was that a Shoutbox thing that has been lost to the sands of time?

Hell yes. That's the stuff.

I'm bumping this for no particular reason other than it's still my favorite moment in Desipio's completely bizarre political history.

To be fair to Huey, he's not the only person I've heard speculate on something like this.

CHUCKD signal (or anyone else) -- do you guys have splits by weather or temperature? Wondering if Heyward's annual slow start is just weather-related.

Wouldn't think weather would be that big of a problem with him playing most of his early season games in either Atlanta or St. Louis.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Noodling on cutting the cable cord and the biggest problem is Cubs games on Comcast. I've got an Apple TV. If I have a friend who lives outside the Cubs blackout area buy an MLB TV subscription for me, will that work - is it determined by the zip code on his credit card? Or would MLB "know" I'm in Chicago because of the IP address connected to my Apple TV?

Does an HD indoor antenna pick up that channel in chicago (can check on tvfool.com/‎)? We bought one for $30 and it works amazingly well.

This is probably a dumb question but can't you only pick up broadcast channels (WGN, Fox, NBC, etc) over an antenna? Comcast Sports Net is a cable channel.

So, quite old, but I have been resistant to cord cutting because of SPORTZ. However, a new player has entered the market and possibly rendered that concern moot: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/#3

Comcast Chicago is available. In Chicago, you can get locals. I only see CBS2 specifically listed but others could be there. You can access the app on an Amazon Fire Stick. Though the price is still decent for the service, I think the biggest advantage to it is that you're not paying a monthly fee for each receiver or the DVR service. For example, I am paying $37/month through Dish for 3 receivers, DVR service, and the protection plan (have to whenever you have a service call). That would be eliminated with Vue.

So, before I start my trial after the ADULT REVOLT, anyone have any experience with this?

Is the difference between what CarMax will give you versus what you can get for it through a private sale worth bothering?

I guess it depends and you've just given me some good starting points. All other input and shared experiences are welcome.

Got lucky as in, you're fortunate to not currently be residing in a meat locker somewhere?

When it comes time to actually pay for the Tesla Model 3, I'll fund most of it on the strength of the sale of my '14 Civic. Let me know how all this private sale stuff works out for you.

Pretty much... and that the person had funds secured already
