I'm not sure how I feel about making my one funny joke of the year in January.

I mean, all of the photoshops were hilarious, just not in the way they were supposed to be.

Jhonny Peralta potentially out 2-3 months with a torn ligament in his thumb.

I guess that thing Yadier had was contagious.  They should probably stop sticking their thumbs into each others' anuses (I'm assuming that's how torn ligaments are transmitted).

Yeah but at least now we  get to look forward to Jedd Gyorko magically rediscovering his power stroke on offense while somehow playing adequate defense at SS.

There is part of me that says I shouldn't enjoy this as much as I am. Karma and injuries (and having a conscience) and all that ya know?

Ehhh, fuck that.
Stupid Cardinals, a plague of locusts next please.

I saw a lot of Cardinals fans arguing that they shouldn't be predicted to regress because they won 100 games last year despite a lot of injuries, so better health this year should make up for what they've lost in Heyward and Lackey.

However, there's really no reason to think they have to be healthier this year because they had seemingly bad injury luck last year. That's just what happens when you have old players. They get hurt, and they get hurt often.

That also ignores that none of those injuries actually hurt them or impacted their W-L record because they got luck fueled bullshit hot streaks from guys like Grichuk and Piscotty that led to those guys outperforming the injured players they were replacing anyway.

Maybe they should have spent less time in spring training being butthurt about "the team up north" and more time not striking out all of the fucking time.

I am laughing so hard at a fanbase that told me "the Cubs strike out too much to win in the postseason" K'ing 30+ times in 3 games.

I'm calling it now - they aren't getting any closer to the Cubs than they are right now all season.
