OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Stevie Wonder behind the plate tonight.

A man pretending to be blind behind the plate?

Stevie Wonder's been pretending? Talk about your long cons.

I find it shocking you're unaware of this conspiracy theory. It's my second favorite one of all time after "Stephen King killed John Lennon."

It's my second favorite too, but after the Jordan basketball ban one.

That was weird even by Fork standards.

Yeah it should have been platoon instead of army. The alliteration would have sounded better.

If Hammel can keep this up I'd start him over Lackey, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Joe tells John he's not in the playoff rotation.

He can tell Lackey right after he tells Heyward that Bryant is playing right with Jorge in left.

Speaking of a well rested starting rotation.... what are they going to do with all 5 of these Cy Young contenders come playoff time?

I enjoyed the shit out of this.  Crowe and Gosling in a buddy cop P.I. farce/buddy/whodunnit movie set in seventies' LA.  The script fairly hums along, there's some fantastic slapstick and loads and loads of little comic payoffs if you're paying attention.  Fucking magic.

I have heard nothing but good about this. I look forward to finally seeing it in 2024.

Mrs. Butthead really wanted to see this. It's on our list right after the second Avengers movie, the latest Captain America movie, and basically every non-Star Wars movie that has come out in the last couple years. My point is we never go to movies since the kid showed up.

It would be nice at times like this if most of the local media was interested in doing anything other than stoking the fires. Rondon was pitching in his first game in 12 days, his velocity was fine, he had no command. Strop is out but expected to be back before season's end. Edwards had his first bad outing of the year. That these things all happened relatively close to each other is not A BULLPEN IN CRISIS DO SOMETHIN THEO!!!!!!!!

It's understandable when fans do it because we're fucking stupid but it only ever gets worse when guys like Jesse Rogers scream it even louder than the fans do

Remember when the bullpen was going to be the best ever a few days ago? Well now that they aren't perfect I guess it's time to start over with 7 new guys. It's the only logical thing to do.

If you didn't think Jeff Beck had any new tricks up his sleeve (I didn't), give the new album a listen. Best thing he's done in a quarter century.

Jeff Beck rarely wears sleeves.

I'm not really sure he should be playing every day at this point.

They should DH for him tonight.

Morosi saying on the twitters that the Cubs are asking about Josh Reddick, who has hit .301/.380/.445 in Oakland this year and is warming back up after recovering from a broken bone. Would like that, although would still hope they find a way to play Javy fairly regularly.

More days off for Zobrist? Maybe time off for Heyward too? I don't know how they would do it, but Javy needs to play.

My guess:

vs RHP: Fowler CF/Reddick LF/Bryant 3B/Rizzo 1B/Contreras C/Zobrist 2B/Russell SS/Heyward RF

vs LHP: Fowler CF/Bryant LF/Rizzo 1B/Contreras C/Baez 3B/Zobrist 2B/Russell SS/Szczur RF

Sprinkle in Ross catching Lester, and Javy getting the occasional start against a right hander in place of Zobrist or whenever Russell or Bryant need a breather.

So essentially a Reddick/Javy platoon with Jorge wearing green. And our star free agent hitting eighth. Works for me.

Are you saying Jorge for Reddick? I think that's a bit much for Reddick. Am I nuts on that one?

It might have matched up well if Doolittle were healthy. But he isn't, so yeah, Jorge is probably too much for 3 months of Josh Reddick.

Yeah since Reddick is a rental I'm guessing something more in the Candelario neighborhood. Zagunis might be a guy that makes sense for Oakland.

I think Jorge is going to be in the big package for the unnamed controllable starting pitcher I still think they're going to get somehow.

I honestly have no idea what Jorge's value is.

I think I only have one overt Trump supporter polluting my feed: the woman who gave me life.

Ouch. My mom doesn't like Trump, but I know she hates Hillary. She hasn't said who she is voting for, and I can't bring myself to ask her.

How's everyone doing today?

Even though I disagreed with the content, it wasn't that same non-sensical rambling he usually does. He's gonna win and I won't know what to think about this future great country

I still don't believe he'll actually win, and the bits I saw were rambling lunacy, but I assume your facebook feed is much like mine, full of downstate relatives that leave you with the sickening feeling he can actually pull this off.

I'm just imagining the utter dread we'll all feel on Election Night if some early swing state breaks for Trump and then another, then another. Until that happens I'll refuse to believe he can actually win, but I can't say I feel good about things. After all, he's still gotten this close to the Presidency and it can't be a good sign for the country's future.

It kind of feels like a loss in the big picture already, even if he doesn't win. Unless he gets destroyed and loses by a billion electoral votes. If that happens maybe we'll see that the nutjobs supporting him were just a vocal minority and everything is actually fine. Right?

Phil Smidt's was awesome. I won't go into detail about family drama, but after my grandma died my brother and I were given the opportunity to take some stuff from her condo as a bullshit way or making up for not getting anything of actual value. The only thing I took was an old Phil Smidt's coffee mug.

I haven't had frog legs in a long time. That needs to change.

Also, I second everything Stew said about John's grill.
