Holy. Shit.

I've got chills.  That was incredible.

Details. I need some details. I've heard Fukudome hits like a Nancy; was it a Nancy home run?

It was a 410-or-so-foot Nancy-homer to right center.

Tough loss, but we saw some good things. Also, I'm never going to post in a gamecast again. I didn't today, but I just read it. Lame--O.

Well, Sullivan did approve.  So, some people may have been enticed by that.

However, this shit has been going on for sometime now.

Yeah, it got really bad at the end of last year and the train is still rolling. We might have to take it inside, so to speak.

Just not to the shed.  I still have nightmares from that.

Agreed.  Love what I saw from Fukudome, and DeRosa hit some balls hard, but didn't have much to show for it.

Howry and Wood aren't going to blow too many games.

Too true. Though I guess the Theriot experiment is off to a rough start. But again, he's not going to go 0 for 5 every game either.

Top 9th and Top 10th were mild harshes to my opening day mellow (and I wansn't thrilled about Kerry coming in in a 0-0 tie), but Fukudome-san is a good thing.

The fact that baseball is back is a better thing.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Re: the gamecast

I guess the real test is going to be Wednesday, while at work, will I be able to stay away from the gamecast. Chances are that I'll be reading it and maybe even contributing until the assholes take over.

I hate to see Mike D and Thrill in there trying to fend off all the anonymous retards. It's just beneath the both of you.

Bob made a good point.  With Kerry's history, if they get him up, they're probably going to use him.

But what do I know?  With the goddamn rain, my DVR recorded exactly the first 8 innings.

I planned ahead and recorded WGN all the way through AFHV...I figured worst case I get to see someone get hit in the nuts by a 4 year old....

Big games bring the retards out in force. Hopefully the passing of Opening Day (and with the season clearly a lost cause), they'll find other ways to while away the hours.
