The Cardinals just waived Adam Kennedy.  Will the insanity never stop?  First, Miles, now Kennedy?  Who's next, Brendan Ryan?  It's like they're not even trying to win!

Larussa was being a real ass with this one, apparently it was his decision. Should have done this months ago, giving Kennedy a chance of making another team..

PECOTA doesn't figure in sneak attacks by Houstonians.  Or is a Hurricane going to cost the Assholes 30 games in the standings this year?

They expect the Cubs to outscore last years team, even without The Pulse? I call shenanigans. The Cubs win no more than 75 games this year, and the Cardinals youth and energy will hand them the division. Houston will be the wildcard. Phil Rogers and Richard Justice have shown me the light.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Better get your tickets now for that one-game Wild Card play-off between Philly and Atlanta.

Cubs get the winner.

Sure... As if the Mets aren't going to fold in the stretch run.

How can you argue with a computer so advanced it is capable of adding up the
batting averages for the Central from last year, dividing by 6 (.263) and giving every
team that number for next year, giving the cubs an extra 3% so it's not uniform?

Why even include that column?  Charging money to predict that, on average, teams
will hit average is one of the many reasons I hate Baseball Prospectus.

2008 Numbers for the fuck of it:

TEAM | Runs | RA  |   BA |  OBP |  SLG
Cubs | 855  | 671 | .278 | .354 | .443
Brew | 750  | 689 | .253 | .325 | .431
Card | 779  | 725 | .281 | .350 | .433
Reds | 704  | 800 | .247 | .321 | .408
Astr | 712  | 743 | .263 | .323 | .415
Piss | 735  | 884 | .258 | .320 | .403

Two things about that, Pre :  firstly, I love the fact that you snuck a "Piss" in there;  Secondly, Good Holy Mother of God the Reds' hitters really, really fucking sucked last year.  If we ever needed further proof that Dusty is run averse, that's it right there.  He's somebody else's problem now and yet he still makes my blood boil.

Not only that, according to PECOTA the Cubs will score more runs than any team in baseball in 2009.  I mean, with Joey Gathright and Aaron Miles aboard, how could they not?
