And if one of you sonsabitches so much as thinks about mentioning Andrew Luck I will ask you to come back when he completes 60% or better while managing at least 7.0 YPA in a single season or you can just admit you don't know what numbers mean and you really like sportscenter highlights and lazy ass narratives.

I know what those numbers mean. I also believe that Luck plays behind a dogshit offensive line that allows him to get hit more than any quarterback should and Reggie Wayne's remaining body parts notwithstanding his receiver corps is embarrassing. Those are the same excuses I made for Cutler before Trestman and Emstink fixed them and yet Luck manages to put up decent enough numbers and somehow miss nary a start due to injury. If you have statistics that show Cutler is better than Luck, I'll gladly take them and troll the denizens of Buttpuddle with them though.

So Jay is somewhere between the 8th and 14th best QB in the league. I feel like we're all pretty much in general agreement but SKO just wants to rail against the perceived injustices of the Internet.

Mark Potash also said the interception was proof the Bears "made a $54 million mistake" on twitter. So...yeah, it's not really perceived. The morons are everywhere.

That's when I stopped reading (surprised I even made it that far).

If Brett "counting stats" Favre--loser of countless conference title games-- is your gold standard, then you really don't know shit about football.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I totally get that there are laughs to be had from the Facebook Cubs/Facebook Bears/Best Fans St. Louis stuff. I've certainly laughed at them and probably will laugh more. But I think it's just gotten so boring to read and shame the dumb opinions of people on the Internet. It's just so predictable -- think of a dumb opinion, do a Twitter search and find someone in 5 seconds who's owning that opinion. Just seems like we spend a lot more time focusing on dumb people saying dumb things than all of the smart people out there saying smart things.

So, in summary, I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I'm now better and more enlightened than all of you and I wish I had never tweeted at Dave Kaplan the other night, which is what made this thread get bumped again. Thanks for reading.

tl;dr stop taking the internet so seriously eli
