That's my issue: these aren't facts, they come from his source. We know nothing about his source but clearly he feels comfortable with the info he's given.

While some of the points are vaild you've got an overeducated, affluent white dude expecting a prodigal athletic talent from a really shitty part of town who has been protected and taken care of by his family as long as he stayed on course to become the generational basketball talent he was destined to be.

Rose isn't a scholar and for Bernstein to expect him to suddenly, because he's the arbitrary age of 25, start acting like he's a worldly adult with the kind of outlook on the world that someone who went to Duke University would have is fucking absurd. The invective from Bernstein is nothing more than a sad Bulls fan who can't believe he's been "forced" again to watch another pointless Bulls season without a guy he pinned his hopes to and trumped up as a kid who gets it before he started getting hurt.

The anger seething from his words is embarrassing as hell and he should be embarrassed for publishing this piece of shit.

Also, he's clearly telling Derrick Rose to stop letting Reggie advise him because it's not in Dan Bernstein's best interests as a Bulls fan. You think Derrick Rose is going to cut ties with his brother and lifelong advisor/protector because a Bulls fan with a louder microphone than most is really annoyed that his favorite team isn't very good anymore? Reggie Rose is probably a shady weirdo but Derrick Rose isn't going to tell him to buzz off - it's his brother for Christ's sake.

If it's not obvious that this all stems back to Bernstein's unbelievable anger over Rose not coming back in time for the playoffs last season I don't even know what else to tell you.

At this point Bernstein seems to have a personal mission to paint Rose as a malcontent idiot who has nothing but contempt for the common Bulls fan and organization. And let's face it - the Bulls organization is about as dysfunctional as it gets.

I got distracted by Chuck's pointless posting, but back to your actual NBA post:

[nods vigorously]

It is in Derrick's best interests - that's what he believes.

I believe that nicotine is not addictive.

So, smoking is in my best interests?

Derrick can do whatever he wants. Listening to his brother for advice is dumb.  It's not in his best interests no matter what he believes.

This is the worst. Can we go back to finding out why Bernstein's days might be numbered?

Valiant effort, but this is only going to result in a string of Jewish calendar jokes by Chuck.

A fantastic post by Slaky

When LeBron was 25 he set the entire city of Cleveland on fire and farted on it while Jim Gray masturbated. It was absolutely unforgivable.

And as dysfunctional as the Bulls can be, compared to the Knicks and Nets they're the fucking 1960's Celtics.

We get it, you're a Heat fan on a Bulls thread

I didn't say I wasn't interested in numerology, but it's too convoluted, even for me to attempt to follow.

I limit myself to knowing that, in Hebrew, the number 18 is also the word "Cha'i" or life.

All the 3s, 7s and 40s and all the others... no thanks.
